Cream Cheese Pasta

A quick and easy 20 minute dinner made with just a handful of ingredients. This rich, cheesy pasta is sure to become a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon salt divided
  • 16 ounces spaghetti pasta
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature (cut into small bricks)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil 6 cups of water with 2 teaspoons of salt over high heat in a large pot then add the pasta and cook for the amount of time indicated on the package it came in.
  2. Set aside 1 cup of the pasta water then drain the pasta and set aside.
  3. Heat a large pan with the butter and oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
  5. Add the remaining salt and pepper and stir to combine.
  6. Pour the reserved pasta water into the pan and bring it to a simmer then add the cream cheese and stir until melted.
  7. Add the parmesan cheese and stir again until melted.
  8. Add the pasta and toss and stir until well incorporated then serve with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

  • Pasta can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
