Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup onion finely diced
  • 4 cups corn kernels thawed, frozen
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk whole

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add corn, heavy cream, sugar, salt, and pepper to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for 5 minutes, until the mixture is heated through.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and milk until smooth. Gradually stir into the corn mixture.
  4. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve warm.
