Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 2 carrot chopped
- 2 celery chopped, ribs
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup milk whole
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 3 cups chicken cooked shredded
- 1 teaspoon thyme fresh
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups egg noodles wide
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice fresh
- 1 tablespoon parsley chopped, fresh
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the butter over medium-high heat. Add the onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until vegetables are tender about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 2 more minutes.
