Creamy Chipotle Sauce
This sauce is very similar to the Taco Bell creamy chipotle sauce. It's rich and creamy with a nice balance of spice thanks to the chipotle pepper in the sauce.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
- 2 teaspoons lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise and whisk together until smooth.
- Add the chipotle sauce, lime juice, salt, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving for the best flavor.
Notes
- Whisking together the sour cream and mayo before the other ingredients will help prevent any lumps in the sauce.
- If you can’t find chipotle sauce, add all of the sauce ingredients + 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce to a blender and blend well. The sauce will be spicier if using a pepper instead of the sauce, so adjust accordingly. F
- For best flavor, let the sauce sit in the fridge for an hour or two before serving for the flavors to develop.
