Crescent Roll Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 6 tablespoons butter softened and divided
  • ¼ cup sugar white sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • Optional - 1 cup cream cheese icing or powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. If baking in the oven, preheat it to 375 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Or line the basket of your air fryer with parchment paper.
  2. Melt two tablespoon butter and set it aside.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough on a cutting board and separate the triangles. Spread ½ tablespoon of softened butter evenly over the top of each triangle.
  4. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and sprinkle half of the mixture over the top of the butter. Spread it evenly with the back of your spoon.
  5. Roll up the dough and place the crescent rolls on the prepared baking sheet or into the air fryer basket.
  6. Brush the top of each roll with melted butter and top with the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Oven Instructions - Bake in the preheated 375 F oven for 9 to 11 minutes until the rolls are golden brown.
  8. Air Fryer Instructions - Bake at 330 degrees F for 6-7 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown.
  9. While the rolls are still warm, spread or pipe the cream cheese icing over the top of each roll. Or sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm.

Notes

  • When rolling the dough, make sure it's tight and even to keep the filling securely inside.
  • Keep an eye on your cinnamon rolls while baking or air frying, as cooking times may vary depending on your appliance. Nobody wants burnt cinnamon rolls, right?
  • Be generous with the cinnamon sugar filling for that ooey-gooey goodness we all crave. A little extra cinnamon never hurt anyone!
  • Use parchment paper to make cleanup easy.
