Crispy Besan Bread Toast On Tawa | Besan Bread Toast
A no-messy yet delicious 15 minutes breakfast or evening snack recipe that is prepared with gram flour, bread slices, and a few commonly available spices. It tastes very similar to egg omelet toast.

Ingredients
- 4 bread sandwich bread, slices
- 1 cup gram flour aka besan
- 2 tablespoon onion finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon ginger grated
- ½ teaspoon green chili chopped or more
- 2 tablespoon Coriander leaves fresh, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch asafoetida hing
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder non-spicy
- ⅓ teaspoon turmeric powder
- water as required
- 2 tablespoon oil or ghee, for frying
Instructions
Preparing the batter
- Take besan in a large mixing bowl. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, hing, and salt. Combine well.
- Gradually add water and mix well.
- Add finely chopped onion, freshly chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chili, and grated ginger. Mix well. The batter must be of thick flowing consistency.

Making the besan bread toast
- Pour some batter on a plate and spread slightly. Put a bread slice and gently press it. Take a little bit of batter on top and spread it until all sides covered.
- Heat a tawa or skillet with oil or ghee. Toast the besan coated bread over low flame. Flip it over gently. Sprinkle some oil on top and cook till both sides turn golden and crisp. Press in between.
- Follow the same process and fry the remaining bread slices.
- finally, serve besan bread toast with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
