Ingredients

  • 16 ounces hash browns , 1 bag, frozen, shredded
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Add the hash browns to a large microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Cover with wet paper towel and microwave for 3 minutes on 50% power until potatoes are defrosted.
  4. If there are frozen spots continue to defrost or butter will solidify on those spots.
  5. Add in melted butter, salt, and pepper and toss.
  6. Spread into large oven-safe skillet or baking dish so the potatoes are about 1/4" thick.
  7. Bake for 20-22 minutes until crisp.
