Crock pot Beef Stew
Simple and Delicious Crock pot Beef Stew Recipe. Beef stew doesn't have to be complex or hard and my favourite beef stew recipe is sure to be a hit with your family!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat cubed
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cubes beef bouillon crumbled
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cups water hot
- 1 teaspoon rosemary dried
- 1 teaspoon parsley dried
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 3 potato peeled and cubed, large
- 4 carrot cut into 1 inch pieces
- 4 celery cut into 1 inch pieces, stalks
- 1 onion chopped, large
Thickening Agent
- 1-2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water cold
Instructions
- In a large skillet cook the beef in oil over medium heat until browned. Place in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Dissolve the beef bouillon and Worcestershire sauce into the hot water and pour into the slow cooker. Stir in rosemary, parsley, garlic and pepper. Stir potatoes, carrots, celery, and onion into the slow cooker.
- Place the lid on top and cook for 6-8 hour on low, until the beef is tender and done.
- Once the stew is done, dissolve the cornstarch into the cold water and whisk rapidly into the hot stew. Cover and let it thicken for another 5-10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.
Notes
- If you are cooking the stew longer,cut the vegetables larger in size.
