Ingredients
- 7-8 medium sized yams peeled & chopped
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 8 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Place yams into the slow cooker
- In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Sprinkle over the yams.
- Slice the butter and place slices over the yams.
- Now cover the slow cooker, and set on low.
- Let the candied yams cook 3 hours.
- Be sure to stir halfway in the cooking process.
- Serve and enjoy.
