Crock Pot Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs
Take you meatballs up a notch with this Crockpot Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs. They are loaded with flavor and made with simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef lean
- 1 egg large, beaten
- 1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 Tablespoons parsley fresh, chopped
- 6 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into ½ inch cubes
For the Sauce:
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 Tablespoon garlic minced
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the beef, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and fresh parsley. Mix with your hands or a wooden spoon until just combined (do not over mix).
- Take approximately 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture. Roll it into a ball and place a piece of the cheese into the center of the ball.
- Continue this process until all the meatballs are formed.
- Add all the sauce ingredients to a crock pot. Gently stir to combine all the ingredients and add the meatballs to the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or on low for 4-6 hours.
- Then the meatballs are ready to serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
