Ingredients

  • 1 pound green split peas rinsed, dried
  • 1 cup carrot diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups ham cooked, diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cups chicken broth low-sodium
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine all ingredients in a Crock-Pot.
  2. Cover and set to cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. Remove the bay leaf before serving. Stir well and adjust seasoning if necessary.
