Crockpot Apricot Chicken
Apricot Chicken flavorful crockpot recipe that uses chicken thighs covered in a delicious apricot glaze. A favorite dinner with kids and adults.
Ingredients
- 6 chicken thigh bone in
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt or garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 1/2 cups apricot preserves
- 1 cup french dressing
- 1 envelope onion soup mix dry
Instructions
- Mix the garlic salt, onion powder, pepper and paprika together.
- Sprinkle over the chicken thighs.
- In a large skillet over medium high heat place the thighs skin side down.
- Heat from about 5 minutes just until the skin starts to brown.
- In a mixing bowl combine the apricot preserves, french dressing and dry onion soup mix.
- Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Serve over rice!
