
Crockpot French Toast
This irresistible crockpot French toast is the ultimate morning breakfast.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (250ml) milk
- ¾ cup (175ml) double cream
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 3.5 ounces (100g) blueberries
- 8 brioche rolls if your dish is shallow, cut in half again the other way to make shorter pieces, each one split in half
- A handful of sliced almonds
- Strawberries to serve
- icing sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, double cream, vanilla and nutmeg until combined
- Cut brioche rolls into rough pieces.
- Lay half the cut brioche rolls in the slow cooker bowl along with half the blueberries and almonds.
- Then layer with the remaining brioche.
- Pour all the egg mixture over the bread and scatter over the remaining blueberries and almonds.
