Ingredients

  • 1 3-4 lb chuck roast
  • ½ cup butter unsalted, 1 stick
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 au jus gravy mix packet
  • ½ pepperoncini juice jar
  • 6-8 Pepperoncini peppers
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chuck roast, butter and pepperoncini juice into the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle over with dry ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix. Add in pepperoncini peppers.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste and cook on low heat for about 8 hours or until roast is fork-tender.
  4. Shred roast with a fork and serve.

Notes

  • A 16-ounce jar of pepperoncini peppers provides sufficient peppers and juice needed for the recipe's flavor and tenderizing effect.
