Ingredients

  • 4 egg large
  • 3/4 cup milk whole
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 Croissant halved lengthwise, large, day-old
  • butter as needed
  • powdered sugar for garnish, or maple syrup
  • fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Make the egg mixture by whisking the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Mix until smooth.
  2. Pour the custard into a shallow dish. Soak each side of the croissants in the mixture for 30 seconds to 1 minute so they can absorb the liquid.
  3. In a large nonstick pan, melt butter over medium heat to grease the pan.
  4. Shake off excess liquid from each croissant and cook them undisturbed for about 2 to 4 minutes on each side. They should be golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately with fresh berries and maple syrup or powdered sugar on top.
