Ingredients

For the sliders
  • 12 count package King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1/4 cup Dijon or yellow mustard, divided
  • 8 oz. thinly sliced deli ham (I like a honey ham or black forest ham)
  • 1 lb. pulled pork*
  • 7 oz. thinly sliced Swiss cheese, about 12 slices
  • 3-4 dill pickles, thinly sliced lengthwise
For the melted butter topping
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
For the dipping sauce (optional but yummy)
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Dijon
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed with a garlic press or finely minced
  • 1/2 lemon, ~2 tsp.
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 pan with spray or a little softened butter.
  2. Without separating the rolls, cut them in half horizontally with a serrated knife. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Spread 2 tbsp. mustard on the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Add the ham in an even layer, folding and overlapping slices as needed.
  5. Arrange a layer of cheese on top.
  6. Add the pulled pork on top.
  7. Then add the pickles.
  8. Spread the last of the mustard on the top half of the rolls and place on top.
  9. Melt the butter in the microwave (cover with a paper towel so it doesn't splatter) and stir in the parsley, salt and garlic powder. Brush/pour butter mixture on top of the rolls and cover with foil. Bake until heated through and the cheese is melty, about 20-25 minutes. Uncover and bake for about 5-10 more minutes until the tops are golden brown and rolls are heated through. You can brush a little more melted butter to add on top when they come out of the oven to give them a glistened look.
  10. Whisk together ingredients for the aioli.
  11. Slice and serve warm with aioli sauce on side for dipping if desired.

Notes

  • *Pulled pork: I buy a 2 lb. container from Costco and heat in the microwave or you can make your own pulled pork!
