Cuisine: American , Mexican

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 small white onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 jar cheese Whiz
  • 10 small corn tortillas
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • Taco toppings (lettuce, salsa, sour cream, etc.)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Pour about a half to one cup of oil in a small skillet or deep fryer. Heat the oil over medium-low heat.
  2. Place the ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Cook and crumble beef over medium-high heat. Once beef is no longer pink, drain grease.
  3. Meanwhile, fry the tortillas in the oil, about 30 seconds on each side. Lay the fried tortillas onto a plate with paper towels to soak up the grease.
  4. Spread some Cheese Whiz (however much you like) onto each tortilla then top with the ground beef and all your favorite taco toppings. Enjoy!
