Ingredients

  • 1 cup strongly brewed coffee
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ⅛ cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon full-fat coconut milk

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Brew your coffee as per your preference.
  2. In your favorite coffee mug, combine the coffee, extracts, and real maple syrup.
  3. Add in the coconut milk into a milk frother and let it froth for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Using a spoon to hold the frothy milk back, pour the warmed milk into the latte and then the froth on top.
  5. Cozy up and enjoy!

Notes

  • Both coconut milk and almond milk will work for the maple latte though coconut milk will be creamier. You can make it easy and use a handheld frother and whisk them right into the mug but it won’t be as frothy.
  • Likewise, you can heat the milk in a small pot on the stove until frothy also.
  • Brew your coffee slightly stronger than normal so that the maple latte retains its amazing, espresso-like flavor.
  • Pure maple syrup will give the best flavor to the maple latte recipe.
  • Store the leftover maple latte in the fridge in a mason jar. You can either drink it chilled by pouring it over ice or reheat it on the stove over low. Not too high of heat or the milk will burn.
