Deep Fried Uncrustables
A twist on the classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, Fried Uncrustables are a delicious treat that is easy to make and perfect for satisfying cravings.
Ingredients
- 1 box uncrustables *any flavor
- 3 cups pancake mix
- 2 egg
- 2 cups milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- 2 cups neutral cooking oil for frying, generic cooking oil
- powdered sugar toppings of choice
- Cherry
- strawberry
- chocolate
Instructions
- Start by adding your pancake mix, eggs, milk, and 1 ½ tablespoons of oil to a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk together until well combined. Small lumps of flour are fine. Don’t over whisk.
- Place your remaining oil in a skillet and heat up. Drop in a few drops of water, if it boils, it’s ready.
- Place a skewer through the middle of your uncrustable or use a fork to dip it in the batter. Make sure both sides are coated.
- Gently place in heated oil. Fry for about two minutes on each side. Until golden, and cooked through.
- Place on a paper towel to soak up any additional oil.
- Place on a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar.
- You can add any additional toppings you prefer, such as strawberries, cherries, or chocolate.
