Delicious Burrata Pizza Recipe

This delicious burrata pizza recipe is made with homemade pizza dough and is topped with sauce, summer tomatoes, and burrata cheese. Great for entertaining!

Ingredients

For Pizza Dough
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour more may be needed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
For Toppings
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce more if you'd like
  • 6 oz burrata cheese drained and sliced
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 5-6 leaves basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • olive oil for drizzling
  • cornmeal optional
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, pour warm water and sprinkle yeast on top. Cover and let it rest for 5 minutes or until the mixture becomes bubbly
  2. Add the olive oil, salt, honey and mix with a wooden spoon
  3. Gently pour the flour mixing constantly with the spoon
  4. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead for 5-6 or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic
  5. Place dough ball in a greased bowl and cover
  6. Let the dough rise in a dark area away from drafts for 40-45 minutes
  7. Preheat oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
  8. Remove dough from bowl and punch down
  9. Place dough on top of floured parchment paper and shape into a circle or rectangle
  10. Transfer the shaped dough on a sheet pan sprinkled with cornmeal
  11. Spread Mezzetta Marinara sauce all over the surface leaving a small border, top with cheese, tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt and pepper
  12. With a brush, paint the border of the pizza with olive oil and sprinkle a bit all over the surface
  13. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust has browned and cheese has melted.
