Ingredients

  • 3 large flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces (227g) cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon fresh dill weed finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces (113g) dill pickles dried with paper towel and diced into small chunks
  • 6 -7 ounces (170-198g) deli ham cut into small bits

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, fresh dill weed, and garlic powder. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Divide the cream cheese mixture evenly among the tortillas, spreading it over each one. Sprinkle the diced dill pickles and ham evenly over the cream cheese layer on each tortilla.
  3. Roll up each tortilla tightly, wrap them securely in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, unwrap the tortillas and slice them into 1 to 1½-inch thick pinwheels.

Notes

  • This recipe makes about 24 pieces (using 3 tortillas cut into 8 pieces each). For thicker rounds, you'll end up with fewer pieces.
  • Make sure your cream cheese is well-softened for easy spreading and a smooth texture.
  • Avoid overstuffing your pinwheels to make rolling and slicing easier and prevent the fillings from spilling out.
  • Other ingredients to consider include turkey, roast beef, or even shredded chicken if you want to add some protein.
  • Spices like onion powder or smoked paprika can add extra flavor. Fresh herbs like parsley or chives can also enhance the taste.
  • Swap out cream cheese for a flavored cheese spread, or use Greek yogurt for a tangy twist.
  • Skip watery veggies like tomatoes to prevent soggy pinwheels. Stick to firmer options like bell peppers or cucumbers.
  • You can prepare these a day in advance, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate until ready to slice and serve.
  • Add festive touches like cherry tomato "ornaments" and sprigs of fresh parsley or dill for "needles." Plus, you can prepare them the day before, making holiday entertaining a breeze.
  • Storage – keep the uncut roll ups in plastic wrap inside the fridge for up to 1 day before slicing and serving.
  • There are 2 WW Blue Plan SmartPoints in one serving.
