Dole Whip Recipe
This Dole Whip Recipe tastes exactly like the real thing! It’s a creamy frozen treat sweetened with the flavor of refreshing pineapple. It’s the perfect summer dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 cups pineapple frozen chunks
- 1 cup coconut milk unsweetened
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
- Pinch salt
Instructions
- Prepare a piping bag and have serving dishes ready.
- Place the frozen pineapple, coconut milk, pineapple juice, powder sugar, coconut extract and salt in the blender and blend until smooth and no lumps remain.
- Immediately after blending, scoop the dole whip into a piping bag and pipe in a circular motion into the serving dishes. If desired, place the piped dole whips in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to allow it to set and hold its shape before serving.
Notes
- vanilla ice cream
- How to store Dole Whip? Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.Remove from the freezer and allow to sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before serving.
- Substitutions and add in’s: Substitute coconut milk for dairy milk, half and half, or heavy cream.Substitute powder sugar for granulated sugar, pure maple syrup, honey, or a sugar alternative.Substitute coconut extract for any flavor of your choice.Add vanilla ice cream.Add frozen mangos, strawberries, raspberries, or cherries.
- Ways to serve Dole Whip: Serve on top of pineapple upside down cake.Serve with pineapple or orange juice to make a dole whip float.Serve in an ice cream cone.Top with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, sprinkles, nuts, or granola.
- Notes This can melt fast! I recommend having everything ready before blending. If the dole whip begins to melt before the piping bag, you can put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to allow it to firm up slightly before piping.
