Ingredients

  • 175 g chocolate milk; cut into pieces
  • 1 Mars bar broken
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 15 g butter
  • 100 g shredded wheat crushed
  • 120 g mini eggs

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a large bowl melt 175 g Chocolate, 1 Mars bar, 15 g Butter and 1 tablespoon Golden syrup.
  2. Stir in the crushed 100 g Shredded Wheat
  3. Divide between six muffin cases, forming into a nest shape.
  4. Fill with 120 g Mini eggs.

Notes

  • We used the mixture to make 6 big Easter nests, but you could make 12 smaller ones if you prefer.
  • You don't have to put them into cupcake cases. You could use an ice cream scoop and scoop them onto a lined baking tray and put them in the fridge like this. They will look a bit more rustic like real birds nest like this.
  • We used milk chocolate, but you would use a mixture of milk and dark chocolate.
  • We melted everything together in a bowl, however if you wanted to avoid splitting then melt the butter and syrup first and then melt the chocolate into that.
  • Try not to pack the nests down too much as they will be too chewy.
