Easy Avocado Toast

This recipe for Avocado Toast is simple and truly easy to make. It features freshly mashed, creamy avocado spread on top of country-style artisan crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • ½ ripe avocado peel and pit removed
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 slice bread sourdough, country loaf, toasted
Garnish: optional
  • Chili oil
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Run a sharp knife along the avocado until it reaches the pit.
  2. Twist the avocado in half.
  3. Remove the pit with a sharp knife.
  4. Use a spoon to scoop out the avocado flesh into a small bowl.
  5. Add in lemon juice, salt and pepper to your taste.
  6. Mash the avocado with a fork, until it reaches your preferred consistency.
  7. In the meantime, place slices of sourdough into the toaster oven.
  8. Spread the avocado mixture evenly over the toast.
  9. Finish with additional flaky sea salt.
  10. Add a drizzle of chili oil, sesame seeds, and enjoy.
