Ingredients

  • ½ pound Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons bacon grease
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste or minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt plus more to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon until crisp and transfer to a paper towel lined plate to cool for about 20 minutes.
  2. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon grease for the recipe.
  3. Add the cooled bacon, bacon grease, softened butter, garlic, and spices to a food processor and pulse until fully combined.
  4. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or 1 month in the freezer.

Notes

  • Ground black pepper may be used if you don’t have white.
  • Letting the butter chill for a few hours before enjoying lets the flavor build.
