Ingredients

  • 4 baking apples
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ¼ cup dried figs diced

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease a glass baking dish.
  3. Using an apple corer or butter knife, cut core of apple out of each apple, leaving 1/4" base at bottom of apple in tact.
  4. In a bowl, mix butter, walnuts, cinnamon.
  5. Spoon walnut mixture into apples.
  6. Arrange in baking dish and bake until softened, about 40 minutes.
  7. Top with diced figs.
  8. Bake additional 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and carefully plate - caution - apples will be extremely hot.
  10. Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
