Ingredients
- 1-¾ cups fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups ( 16 oz) fresh blueberry puree plus more for serving
- ¾ to 1 cup granulated sugar
- 5 cups filtered water
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the fresh blueberries until smooth. If desired, strain the puree through a fine mesh strainer to remove any solids or seeds. In a large pitcher, combine the blueberry puree, fresh lemon juice, and granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Add the filtered water to the pitcher and stir again. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the lemonade to become cold and refreshing. When ready to serve, pour the blueberry lemonade over ice in glasses.
