Easy Creamy Tomato Shrimp Angel Hair Pasta

Ingredients
- 1 pound angel hair pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 pound Shrimp peeled and deveined, raw
- 1 (15 ounce can) diced tomatoes undrained, fire roasted
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes crushed
- 1/2 to 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons parsley chopped, fresh
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and shrimp, stirring continuously until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream and heat through for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Add the shrimp back to the pan and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a creamier dish, use the full amount of cream.
