Easy French Financiers Recipe
Financiers Recipe - this delicate french almond cake is flavored with browned butter and is super easy to make. The perfect dessert to enjoy with tea.
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 stick, unsalted
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 raspberry
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- Spray a mini muffin or financier mold with non-stick spray
- Place butter in a pan over medium-low heat
- Melt butter and whirl the pan occasionally
- When butter turns brown and develops a nutty aroma, remove from heat and strain. Cool for a few minutes
- In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy
- In another bowl, combine the flour, almond flour, confectioners sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Gently mix in the cooled brown butter, egg whites, and vanilla using a whisk or a wooden spoon. Do not overmix
- Pour the batter 3/4 full of each crevice of the mold
- Place the raspberry inside the batter
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the tops becomes brown and the financiers are fluffy and springy to the touch
- Remove from oven
- Unmold
- Enjoy!
