Easy Goat Cheese Flatbread With Arugula and Blueberries
This goat cheese flatbread is the perfect appetizer or snack! Think creamy goat cheese, sweet blueberries, and peppery arugula on a crispy naan flatbread with a drizzle of honey – it's the ultimate fruity, savory, and tangy combination.
Ingredients
- 6 flatbread mini size
- 2 tsp olive oil
- ½ onion
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp honey plus more for drizzling
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 4 oz goat cheese with honey
- thyme fresh
- 1 cup blueberries fresh
- 1 cup arugula fresh
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350 °F.
- Slice the onion into thin strips. Add them to a skillet with olive oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes over medium-low heat until they turn translucent.
- Add salt and a tablespoon of honey, and give it a good stir. Once fully coated, remove the skillet from the heat.
- Spread a layer of cream cheese over each naan bread and place them on a baking pan lined with a baking sheet or parchment paper. Divide the sweet caramelized onions evenly among the flatbreads. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over each bread. Arrange fresh blueberries on top of the flatbread however you like. Just ensure to leave spaces between each blueberry. Crumble honey goat cheese into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle them on each bread.
- Place the baking sheet pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the blueberries start to burst.
- Remove the flatbreads from the oven and add a handful of fresh arugula to each bread. Drizzle with a little extra honey or balsamic glaze.
- Slice your flatbread pizzas into smaller pieces and serve hot. Enjoy the burst of flavors in every bite!
Notes
- Soften Cream Cheese: Make sure to use softened cream cheese for an easy and even spread without clumps.
- Custom Size Your Flatbread: If you're using pizza dough, depending on the size of your pan or oven space, you can roll out your dough using a rolling pin to control the thickness level. This is great for cutting the larger piece into smaller portions and using them as a party appetizer.
- Don't Overload the Flatbread: Too many toppings can make it soggy. So, be mindful not to overload the flatbread.
- Serve Immediately: This goat cheese flatbread is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, so serve it up as soon as it's ready.
