Notes
- Choose ripe avocados: To get the best flavor and texture, use ripe avocados that yield slightly to gentle pressure. Avoid overripe avocados, which can make your guacamole mushy.
- Prevent browning: To keep your guacamole fresh and green, add a little extra lime juice, which slows down the oxidation process. If storing, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole to reduce air exposure and refrigerate.
- Customize heat level: Adjust the spiciness to your liking by adding more or less jalapeño. You can also use a pinch of cayenne pepper or a splash of hot sauce to add heat.
- Fresh ingredients: Use fresh cilantro, tomatoes, and lime juice for the best flavor. Fresh ingredients make a noticeable difference in taste and quality.
- Taste and adjust: Don't be afraid to taste your guacamole and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more salt, lime juice, or other ingredients to create your perfect flavor balance.
- Experiment with add-ins: Try adding other ingredients to your guacamole, such as diced mango, pomegranate seeds, or crumbled feta cheese for a unique twist.
- Serve with a variety: Offer a variety of dippers, such as tortilla chips, pita chips, cucumber slices, and carrot sticks, to cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.
