Easy Homemade Blueberry Sauce Topping Recipe—You'll want to drizzle this super easy, delectable blueberry sauce over everything, and I don't just mean pancakes! This recipe works with fresh blueberries as well as frozen ones.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup sugar granulated white
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup blueberries frozen blueberries work great!, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar and cornstarch. Add the water and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Keep stirring and boil for about 3 minutes. Stir in the blueberries and reduce heat to low. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the blueberries pop and the mixture thickens.
  3. Stir in the butter until melted, and the sauce is glossy.
