Servings: 4 people
Course: Condiments
Cuisine: Indian

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp ground coriander seeds
  • 1 ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp ground ginger

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a small bowl, mix all the ground spices.
  2. Use immediately, or store in an air-tight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.

Notes

  • Alternately, you can start with whole spices. Lightly toast them until fragrant in a dry skillet over medium-low heat. Remove the spices from the pan and let them cool. Transfer the cooled spices to a spice grinder and grind until fine. Store in a glass jar for up to 3 months.
  •
  • After 2-3 months, your spice mix will not go bad, you may just find that it has lost some of its flavor potency and you may need to add more to a recipe to get your desired flavor.
