Easy Homemade Pico de Gallo
This authentic pico de gallo recipe is fast, easy and always a crowd-pleaser! Can be made mild, medium or hot.
Ingredients
- 6 Roma tomato diced
- 1 cup red onion (minced)
- 1 cup cilantro (minced)
- 1 jalapeño (minced)
- ½ cup lime juice ((about two limes))
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- tortilla chips optional, to serve
Instructions
- Place the first six ingredients in a large bowl and toss well. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve with tortilla chips if you wish.
Notes
- To keep the dish mild, omit the jalapeño peppers. For medium heat, remove most of the seeds and pith. To keep the dip spicy, minced the pepper whole including the seeds.
