Easy Homemade Pico de Gallo

This authentic pico de gallo recipe is fast, easy and always a crowd-pleaser! Can be made mild, medium or hot.

Ingredients

  • 6 roma tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup red onion (minced)
  • 1 cup cilantro (minced)
  • 1 Jalapeño (minced)
  • ½ cup lime juice ((about two limes))
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortilla Chips to serve (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the first six ingredients in a large bowl and toss well. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve with tortilla chips if you wish.

Notes

  • To keep the dish mild, omit the jalapeño peppers. For medium heat, remove most of the seeds and pith. To keep the dip spicy, minced the pepper whole including the seeds.
  • Serving Size: 1/4 cup
