Easy Homemade Salsa

Easy Homemade Salsa blends fire-roasted diced tomatoes with onion, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, and cilantro for a fresh, mildly chunky salsa with a smoky undertone. This simple preparation allows layers of bright and smoky flavors with just enough heat to complement dishes. It works well as a dip or topping for low-carb tortillas, chips, or other savory snacks.

Ingredients

  • 28 ounce diced fire roasted tomatoes drained, canned
  • ⅓ yellow onion diced
  • ½ jalapeno pepper seeded and minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • lime juice of 1 ½
  • ½ cup cilantro chopped
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • sweetener optional; pinch

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Pulse until well combined, but don’t over mix. You still want it a little chunky.
  3. Serve with your favorite low carb tortillas or even Homemade Keto Tortilla Chips.

Notes

  • If fire-roasted tomatoes are unavailable, use plain diced tomatoes for a milder flavor.
  • Increase the jalapeño to a whole pepper instead of half for a spicier salsa.
