Easy Homemade Sausage Patties

These homemade sausage patties are made with ground pork and a sweet and spicy seasoning blend. Enjoy them for breakfast or any time of the day!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground pork
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp rubbed sage
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to preference

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, rubbed sage, crushed red pepper flakes, ground black pepper, and salt until evenly combined.
  2. In a large bowl, add the ground pork and sprinkle the seasonings on top. Mix together with your hands until the seasonings are well incorporated.
  3. Divide the ground pork mixture into ten equal portions using an ice cream scoop. Shape the patties about 3.5 inches in diameter and 1/4-1/2 inch in thickness.
  4. Set a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and fry for 3-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Serve warm and enjoy!
