Easy Mozzarella Sticks
Wow, if you're looking for a great appetizer, or a really easy snack, this is it! These are super simple to make, come together so quickly, and are done in no time. Everyone will love this, whether you're serving them at a party, or for an afternoon snack, they're sure to be a favorite. Make sure to keep this one handy!
Ingredients
- 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 package egg roll wrappers or wonton wrappers
- olive oil spray form
- garlic salt
- Italian seasoning
- 1 jar sun dried tomatoes see link, julienne cut
HOMEMADE MARINARA:
- 1 small can tomato sauce 6 ounce
- 1 small can tomato paste 6 ounce
- garlic salt to taste, coarse ground
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper coarse ground
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon basil sweet variety
- 1 teaspoon oregano ground
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1/2 cup water filtered
Instructions
- Lay the egg roll, or Wonton wrappers out on a plate, Spray with spray Olive Oil, and lay one Mozzarella stick in the center. Sprinkle the cheese with Garlic Salt, and Italian seasoning, sun dried tomatoes, and roll up wrappers. Place in air fryer basket, and Spray with Olive oil. Sprinkle with Garlic Salt, and Italian Seasoning. Cook at 350 degrees, for 10 minutes. If you think they need to be a little crunchier, cook for 2 more minutes.
- While they're cooking, make the Marinara: In a heavy bottom sauce pan, place the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, garlic salt, pepper, Italian Seasoning, sweet basil, Oregano, brown sugar, Onion powder, and minced garlic. Stir all together, and heat on medium until bubbly and thick. Simmer for 30 minutes, and serve with Mozzarella Egg Roll Sticks, for dipping. Enjoy!
