Easy Oven Baked Chicken - Rotisserie Style Flavor!

Oven baked chicken tastes just like juicy rotisserie chicken and is easy to make at home (and cheaper too!)

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 TB garlic powder
  • 1 TB onion powder
  • 1 TB lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 TB powdered ginger
  • 1 lemon halved
  • 1 lime halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°. Remove "insides" from chicken and place in a roast pan lined with foil or a silicon baking mat. Using a knife, pierce chicken about 1" about 10 times. 
  2. Coat entire surface of chicken with oil (about 1/4 cup). Apply liberally garlic powder, onion powder, powdered ginger, lemon pepper seasoning, and soy sauce. Spread and massage spices into the chicken until the entire surface is coated.
  3. Squeeze the juice from lemon and lime over the chicken and place them inside the bird while it cooks.
  4. Add any vegetables to the baking pan and place in oven. Bake at 300° for 4 hours.
