Easy Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

For the Crust:
  • 3/4 cup butter room temperature
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
For the Pecan Topping:
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup light or dark
  • 2 Tablespoon butter melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecan halves chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a 9X13 baking pan with foil or parchment paper
  3. Using a stand up mixer with the paddle attachment, combine the butter and sugar until these ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  4. Then mix in the flour until just combined.
  5. Press this flour mixture into the bottom of the 9X13 pan.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together to the topping ingredients except for the pecans until these ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  8. Stir in the pecans.
  9. Pour this mixture over the crust once it’s finished baking.  It’s ok to pour it on the hot crust.
  10. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until the center of the bars are set.
  11. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting.
