Ingredients
- 28 ounces pumpkin puree canned or fresh
- ½ cup apple juice
- ½ cup granulated sugar or maple syrup, or to taste
- ¼ cup water
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or spices below
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Simmer on low, stirring frequently, 25-30 minutes or until thickened.
- Cool and refrigerate up to 2 weeks.

Notes
- If you do not have pumpkin pie spice, combine the following to make your own.1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/8 teaspoon allspice, 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- Fresh pumpkin puree may need extra cook time depending on how much water is in the pumpkin.
- Store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
