Easy Rum Sauce Recipe

This amazing tropical rum sauce has only 3 ingredients and is amazing when poured over some bread pudding or even ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • ½ cup light brown sugar packed

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Add all of the ingredients together into a medium-size saucepot.
  2. Cook over low to medium heat for about 15 minutes or until the amount of liquid is reduced by ½.
  3. Serve warm or chill and serve cold.

  • How to Store: Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. This will freeze covered up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator for 1 day before reheating.How to Reheat: Place the desired amount into a small saucepot and cook over low heat until warmed.
  • You can swap out dark rum for light rum for a slightly sweeter less smoky flavor.
  • Feel free to use regular sugar instead of brown sugar.
