Easy Salmon Croquettes

These salmon croquettes are patties combining canned salmon with chopped bell peppers, panko breadcrumbs, flour, seasonings, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce, bound with beaten egg and fresh cilantro. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1/2 red bell pepper chopped
  • (3) ounce cans salmon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  1. Add 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour to a bowl and mix. Add 1/2 green bell pepper, 1/2 red bell pepper, (3) 5-ounce cans salmon, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 large egg, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. Mix until incorporated.
  2. Shape into 6-8 patties and heat 1-2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add patties to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Drain the canned salmon well before mixing to avoid excess moisture in the croquettes.
  • Use fresh bell peppers for added crunch and color contrast in the patties.
  • Cook croquettes in medium-high heat oil to ensure a crispy exterior while keeping the center tender.
