This easy sauerkraut recipe is so quick to make! You will love having homemade sauerkraut for all your favorite meals like hot dogs, Polish sausage, pork chops, and Reuben sandwiches. Ingredients
- ⅓ cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 bag (16 oz) coleslaw mix
Instructions
- Bring vinegar and sugar to boil in large skillet over medium heat. Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Add coleslaw. Cover, and cook, tossing occasionally, until coleslaw is tender, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove lid and simmer until liquid has evaporated, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add to a serving bowl or airtight container to serve or store for at least a month inside your refrigerator.
- Enjoy every bite!

- Use fresh cabbage for the best results.
