Easy Sautéed Swiss Chard Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch Swiss Chard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic 
  • 1/4 cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Start by washing and drying the Swiss chard leaves. Remove stems and set aside. Roll the leaves into a cigar-like shape. Slice horizontally across into chunks about 1-inch wide.
  2. In a pan, warm oil over medium heat. Toss in minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Pour in water and chard stems and cook for about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the leaves and allow to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Add salt and pepper just before serving. Enjoy!
