Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 1 pound small cooked shrimp peeled and chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 dashes hot sauce
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook onion in 1 tablespoon butter until tender but not browned, about 5 minutes.
- Beat onion, cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, hot sauce, dill weed, old bay seasoning, and garlic powder with a mixer until fluffy.
- Fold in shrimp meat and ¾ cup of the cheddar cheese.
- Place in a small baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake 18-22 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Broil if needed.

Notes
- If using raw shrimp, season with your favorite seasonings (I love cajun seasoning) and cook in butter over medium high heat until just cooked and pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove tails if needed and chop.
