Easy Shrimp With Bean Sprouts Stir-Fry

Stir-fried shrimp with bean sprouts, coated in a delicious sauce of light soy and oyster sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 6 medium Shrimp
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 5 green onions sliced in 1-inch pîeces
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch stirred with 2 tablespoons of water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large wok over medium heat and fry the garlic until golden.
  2. Add shrimp and cook both sides until cooked through.
  3. Add bean sprouts, water, white sugar, oyster sauce, and light soy sauce. Stir-fry until the bean sprouts are soft enough to your liking, or 4 minutes.
  4. Move everything to one side of the pan. Add green onions on top of the rest of the ingredients, and add the cornstarch with water mixture to the sauce. Before adding the cornstarch with water mix, mix it thoroughly one more time.
  5. Mix all ingredients one last time and make sure the cornstarch is dissolved. Serve immediately.
