Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 3 g yeast dry
  • 3 g sugar
  • 5 g salt
  • 145 ml water
  • sea salt rock, to sprinkle
  • 750 ml water for boiling
  • 2 tbs bicarbonate soda

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and knee for about 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into 4.
  3. Roll out into a 50cm rope, cross the ends and twist them twice.
  4. Flip the twisted ends onto the middle round part
  5. Boil 750ml water with 2tbs bicarbonate soda, boil the shaped pretzel dough for about 3 minutes each.
  6. Take it out and leave it on the baking paper for 10- 15 minutes and sprinkle with sea rock salt
  7. Start to heat the oven to 200 degree celsius
  8. Bake the pretzel for 15-20 minutes.

Notes

  • pretzel is not Japanese food but German food such as pretzel and baumkuchen and German potato are quite popular. The recipes are adopted to Japanese tastes.
