Easy Strawberry Margarita Recipe
This Easy Strawberry Margarita blends frozen whole strawberries with tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and honey. Blended until smooth, the margarita offers a refreshing, fruity cocktail with a balanced sweet and tangy profile. Glass rims are flavored with margarita salt and garnished with fresh lime or strawberries for added visual appeal and a complementary zing.
Ingredients
- 1 pound strawberries frozen, whole
- ¾ cup tequila
- ½ cup lime juice
- ¼ cup orange liqueur Cointreau or similar
- ⅓ cup honey more or less to taste, or other sweetener
- Margarita salt to rim the glasses
- lime for garnish
Instructions
- Prep your glasses. First, run a small wedge of lime around the upper outer rim of your glasses. Then roll it into the margarita salt mixture. Set aside.
- Add the strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and honey to a blender. Blend until it's completely smooth. Taste test and add extra sweetener or alcohol if desired.
- Pour the blended margarita into the glass and garnish with a strawberry or slice of lime.
Notes
- Use fresh limes for juicing to maximize the flavor impact over bottled lime juice.
- Add two cups of ice if a thicker, slushier consistency is preferred.
- Adjust honey amount to tailor sweetness to personal preference.
