Easy Strawberry Sauce (no cook, sugar-free)

A fresh, light, and healthy No-cook strawberry sauce. Sweetened with honey.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams (7 ounce) fresh strawberries
  • 100 grams (3.5 ounce) honey
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • a pinch lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Blend strawberries in a small food processor or blender together with the lemon juice, zest, and pinch of salt. You don't need to pulse until smooth you can leave it a bit chunky if you like.
  2. Transfer the sauce to a clean glass jar.
  3. Stir in the honey.
  4. Stir in the chia seeds very well.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours stirring 1-2 times during the first hour so the chia seeds won't get lumpy.
  6. Serve over Greek yogurt, ice cream, frozen yogurt, on cakes, scones, etc.
